Merdedes shows it semi-autonomous Heavyweight prototype

Few days ago Mercedes introduced on a highway near Magdeburg its semi-autonomous truck prototype . The "Future Truck 2025" is capable of running without pilot up to 85 km / h.  With its "Future Truck 2025", Mercedes offers to rethink the role of the driver: in his terminology, it is more "transport manager" than "truck driver" talk. Driver may work on other tasks while driving through a cockpit connected. Mercedes will tell us more about the technology and its industrialization projects in September at the IAA Commercial Vehicles exhibition

Mercedes a présenté il y a quelques jours sur une portion d'autoroute près de Magdeburg son prototype de camion semi-autonome. Le "Future Truck 2025" est capable de rouler sans intervention du pilote jusqu'à 85 km/h.Avec son "Future Truck 2025", Mercedes propose de repenser le rôle  du conducteur : selon sa terminologie, on ne parlera plus de "chauffeur routier" mais de "manager de transport". Il pourra se consacrer à d'autres taches pendant le trajet, grâce à un cockpit connecté.  Mercedes en dira plus sur la technologie utilisée et ses projets d'industrialisation en septembre, lors du salon des véhicules commerciaux IAA
