ZF introduces 2 new ADAS features for trucks

ZF Friedrichshafen has unveiled two new advanced driver-assistance features designed to help truck drivers avoid collisions.

The Evasive Maneuver Assist (EMA), which the Germany-based automotive supplier developed in cooperation with US vehicle control systems specialist Wabco, automatically steers tractor-trailer combinations around dangerous areas.

ZF’s Highway Driving Assist (HDA) offers a combination of lane keeping and adaptive cruise control for trucks.

Both technologies make use of sensors, software and intelligent mechanics, ZF said.
