Airbus imagines a plane without a windshield...but equipped with screens

Airbus has patented a cockpit of a new type, with no direct view of the outside environment. The aircraft would fly only through screens, and the cockpit is no longer necessarily find at the front of the unit. Airbus a breveté une cabine de pilotage d'un nouveau type, sans vision directe sur l'environnement extérieur. GB: Driverless cars allowed !

The British government yesterday authorized testing driverless cars on the highway for a period of 18 to 36 months from January 2015 to select three remaining cities wishing to become a leader in this technology. Merdedes shows it semi-autonomous Heavyweight prototype

Few days ago Mercedes introduced on a highway near Magdeburg its semi-autonomous truck prototype . The "Future Truck 2025" is capable of running without pilot up to 85 km / h.  With its "Future Truck 2025", Mercedes offers to rethink the role of the driver: in his terminology, it is more "transport manager" than "truck driver" talk. Advanced Driver Assistance Systems: Future ECU TTTech use VxWorks
