Delphi Working With Ottomatika For Autonomous Driving

Autonomous driving and driver assistance technologies are set to move forward at a quick pace over the next few years. Manufacturers rely on many different suppliers for these technologies to move forward; one such supplier involved in many innovations is Delphi.  Delphi Automotive PLC just announced it will partner with Ottomatika, Inc., a company started by Carnegie Mellon University, which provides advanced automated driving software, to jointly develop technology that will help accelerate automated driving.

Using their individual strengths, Delphi and Ottomatika stated they have jointly developed a vehicle platform that can instantaneously make complex decisions, like stopping and proceeding at a four-way stop, timing a highway merge or calculating the safest maneuver around a bicyclist on a city street.
